The key points were:
- Foresight is a skill like any other. Organisations need to decide how much of it they should do and how they create a system to continually review scenarios and signposts of change.
- They key to creating great strategy is situational awareness of the environment you are operating in.
- When thinking about the future you need situational awareness of multiple possible futures so you can decide on strategy when the future becomes clear enough to act.
- You need to create a systematic approach to this that involved staff, board , and stakeholders to maximise perspectives.
